Marquette – An artist reception, celebrating the June exhibits featuring Christine Hinz Lenzen and Essence of Scene and Spirit of Wood, will be held on Thursday, June 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.
Collections by photographer, Christine Hinz Lenzen are composed of archived family photographs, found bottles, cheesecloth, wax, wine and wood will be featured in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center. Lenzen is currently an Assistant Professor of Photography at Northern Michigan University.
The SmallWorks Gallery will feature Essence of Scene and Spirit of Wood by artists Tomoko Hirao and Takayuki Fukuyama. Fukuyama is a Japanese Style Painter who studied at Kyoto Saga University of Arts. Takayuki has been the recipient for several awards including The Ueno Royal Museum Exhibition, Grand Prize. His paintings reflect his desire to honor nature’s beauty.
The exhibits run through June 28.
