Great Lakes Recovery Centers Receives Grant from Zonta

MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN – Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Zonta Club of Marquette. This grant will be used for the ‘Women’s Wellness in Recovery’ project for the women at Adult Residential Services here in Marquette. This project will consist, primarily, of free and consistent yoga and stretching classes for female residents.

These classes advance the status of women in recovery by helping them to establish healthy habits, helping them to remain active and providing them with another alternative to substance use. The goal is to increase the number of women who are able to achieve a life-long recovery.
