Ishpeming – The Ishpeming School District and Head Start are accepting applications for their Special Education preschool programs that will be offered during the 2014-2015 school year. Although the screening is not scheduled until April 23 and April 24, parents need to schedule their appointments prior to April 23.
Children who will be three or four years of age by December 1, 2014 are eligible for this screening. Free developmental screenings will be available in the areas of: speech and language, concepts, motor skills, behavior, vision and hearing.
The screening will be held on Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 801 Hemlock Street in Ishpeming. Parents should call the Head Start office to schedule an appointment at 228-6522.
