Peter White Public Library’s Film Club invites the public to a free screening of the modern classic film “Reversal of Fortune” on Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 pm in the library’s Community Room. The film stars Jeremy Irons, Glenn Close and Ron Silver.
This film is an adaptation of Alan Dershowitz’s book based on the true story of his successful legal appeal of Claus von Bulow’s conviction for the attempted murder of the wife, Martha “Sunny” von Bulow in 1980. “Sunny” remained in a persistent vegetative state- resulting from a suspicious injection of insulin-until her death 28 years later.
A Best Actor Oscar winner for Jeremy Irons, “Reversal of Fortune” was released in 1990, is rated R and runs for 111 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
