MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN — Shakespeare Readers will meet on Wednesday, March 5 at 6:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Lions Room for a reading of “Measure for Measure.”
Shakespeare’s dark comedy deals with the issues of mercy, justice, and truth and their relationship to pride and humility. The plot revolves around the characters of Vincentio, the Duke of Vienna; Angelo, a judge; Claudio a young nobleman and Juliet his betrothed.
Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new readers are always welcome.
