The Marquette Regional History Center presents: “What’s In a Name?” Wednesday, February 12th

MARQUETTE, MI – Did you ever wonder where the names for some of Marquette’s streets came from? Historic photographs, old maps, artifacts and stories by Jim Koski and Rosemary Michelin will reveal the origins of streets named after French explorers, U.S. Presidents, Civil War generals, esteemed citizens and more. What became of Morton, Mt. Vernon, Specular and Superior streets?

Find out about Harvey, Shiras Hills, North and South Marquette and perhaps, your neighborhood! $5 Suggested donation at the door.

Wednesday, February 12th, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at MRHC.
