Covington – Ponnistus Athletic Club of Covington will host the 29th annual ice fishing derby on Saturday, January 4 on Vermillac Lake in Covington. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with fishing until 4 p.m.
There is a $10 registration fee. Cash prizes will be awarded for largest walleye, crappie, pike and perch. All registrants qualify for numerous door prizes donated be local merchants. Concessions will be sold throughout the day.
