Negaunee – The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter will host a Home for the Holidays Open House on Friday, December 13 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at the shelter, 84 Snowfield Road in Negaunee Township.
This is an opportunity for the community to tour the shelter, meet the staff, volunteers and board members, as well as all the wonderful pets hoping to get a loving new forever home for the holidays. Enjoy some baked goods and refreshments with your entire family and celebrate the holidays with UPAWS.
The first 20 adoptions will be no fee. All other adoptions will be 1/2 off the listed rate. For more information, call 475-6661 or go to www.upaws.org.
