Readers Theater Welcomes Reading of “Heroes” by Gerald Sibleyras on Thursday, November 21st

Marquette, Michigan – Readers Theater welcomes the public to join in a reading of “Heroes” by Gerald Sibleyras on Thursday, November 21 at 7:00pm in the Peter White Public Library Shiras Room.

Translated by award winning playwright, Tom Stoppard, this comedy is set in 1959 in a French retirement home for World War I veterans. Winner of the Laurence Olivier Best New Comedy Award, “Heroes” is a hilarious and poignant tale of three veterans who pass their monotonous days by engaging in verbal battle. The original production opened at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre in October 2005 and starred Richard Griffiths, John Hurt and Ken Stott.

Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New readers are always welcome.
