Marquette, MI – November 8, 2013 – Back by popular demand, Peter White Public Library announces the upcoming visit of two-time Grammy Award winning children’s musician, storyteller and author to Marquette on Friday, November 8 at Reynolds Recital Hall at 7:30 pm for a fun filled family concert of songs and stories sure to delight all ages. Harley delighted Marquette audiences in February 2012 and is back for an encore performance.
“The Mark Twain of contemporary children’s music,” according to Entertainment Weekly, Bill Harley is a critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter, author, musician is considered by fans and peers alike to be one of the best storytellers in the country. In slice-of-life vignettes about school and family life, Harley uses humor and a fine-tuned sense of the ridiculous to illuminate compassionate truths, even while inspiring belly laughs.
Tickets are on sale now for this special event and are available at the Peter White Public Library circulation desk or by calling 228-9510. Advance purchase tickets cost $8.00 making it affordable for families to attend together. Tickets purchased at the door are $15.00 each. Seating is limited.
