Marquette – Join Tim and Regina Gort for a “Picnic Lunch Family Poetry Workshop” on Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. at Echo Lake Nature Preserve. Meet at the Moosewood Nature Center in Marquette at 10:30 a.m. to carpool to the Preserve, which has limited parking. .
Children, adults and families will explore their creativity followed by a short hike at the Preserve. Youngsters will play with words to create and illustrate a special poem about how each of us offers a unique perspective of our connection with nature.
Bring a lunch and water. Writing materials will be provided. The event will be held rain, snow or shine!
