Marquette – The City and Downtown Development Authority will
host the 2nd Annual Halloween Spectacle on Saturday, October 26 beginning at 6:40 p.m. with a procession of costumed revelers coming from the Peter White Public Library, Mattson Lower Harbor Park, Harlow Park and the Rock Street Parking lot.
This large-scale community outdoor performance is one of giant puppetry, percussion and theatrical dance. This year’s theme is Heroes vs. Villains and the community is encouraged to dress as their favorite character and pick a side. As the evening grows dark, the community is invited to join in processions throughout the City converging in the Marquette Commons to witness Marquette’s second Halloween Spectacle at 7 p.m.
The outdoor performance, put together by different community members and groups will be approximately 45 minutes. The audience will witness tumblers, stilt walkers, a Chinese Dragon Puppet, dancing fire, vocal and percussion performances, zombies, folk dancers and much more.
