(Marquette, MI) — Tasty Reads, the book group for readers who love to cook, invites the public to a tea party lunchtime event at the Peter White Public Library on Monday, September 16 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the library’s Community Room. Tickets for admission are on sale now.
Indulge your taste buds and delight your senses with samples of high quality loose tea served in china teacups served by Hanna’s Tea Times of Negaunee along with sweets and savories prepared by the members of the Tasty Reads book group. Dishes are inspired by this month’s read The Tea Table by Shelley & Bruce Richardson.
Kentucky’s historic Elmwood Inn won international attention as one of America’s best-loved tea rooms when it was recognized by the British Guild of Tea Shops in 2002. Owners Shelley and Bruce Richardson, have created this third volume of beautiful tea recipes to inspire readers longing to set their own fabulous tea tables. The Tea Table contains 70 new recipes and is illustrated with 85 color photographs.
Admission to the tea party event costs $8.00 per person and are available in advance at the library’s circulation desk or by calling 228-9510. Seating is limited.
