A Maple Syrup Making Open House will be held at the Ford Center in Alberta (eight miles south of L'Anse) on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. People are welcome to spend as much or as little time as desired at each hands-on station. Learn about sugarbush management, tree selection, tree tapping, testing sugar content, sap collection and sap storage. The program is free. For more information, call 534-6181.
