Summer Cinema Screening of “Rise of the Guardians” on Wednesday, August 28

(Marquette, MI 49855) — Summer Cinema presents a screening of “Rise of the Guardians” on Wednesday, August 28 at 5:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.

This animated fantasy film based on William Joyce’s “The Guardians of Childhood” book series featuring the characters of Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Sandman and Easter Bunny. The plot revolves around an evil spirit known as Pitch, who lays down the gauntlet to take over the world. The immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.

“Rise of the Guardians” was nominated for a Golden Globe award and features the vocal talents of Hugh Jackman, Alex Baldwin and Chris Pine. The film was released in 2012, is rated PG and runs for 97 minutes.

Summer Cinema invites the public to bring their own takeout supper and enjoy this recently released feature film in a dinner theater setting.
