Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will offer “The Presque Isle Walking Tour” on Wednesday August 7 at 6:30 p.m. beginning at the Presque Isle band shell.
Professor John Anderton and Jim Koski will lead the tour. Learn the interesting geological history, as well as many other interesting facts about the cultural history of the Island. From the early explorers in the early 1600-1700s to contemporary times, the island has its own unique story to tell.
Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk over uneven ground. There is a $5 suggested donation for this event. Visit www.marquette history.org or call 226-3571 for more information.
