Enjoy a leisurely guided bike tour on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail! The tour lasts about four hours and covers approximately 15 miles as it takes you from the Michigan Iron Industry Museum to Ishpeming, and then back again. Stops along the way include the Jackson Mine and Old Town Negaunee; on the return trip, there will be a break for lunch, provided by Midtown Bakery and Café.
Approximately half the trail is hard, packed, crushed granite, and half is paved asphalt. Mountain bikes or bikes with wider tires are recommended.
- Fee: $20 (includes tour, lunch, handouts and a Michigan Iron Industry Museum souvenir)
- Pre-registration required. Each tour has a limited amount of participants, and registration deadline is six days before each tour date.
