Shakespeare Readers Meet July 3rd for Reading of “Henry IV, Part 1

(Marquette, MI) — Shakespeare Readers will meet on Wednesday, July 3 at 6:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room for a reading of “Henry IV, Part 1.”

Written in approximately 1591, Henry IV, Part I is one of Shakespeare’s history plays set during the time of Henry VI of England in the years leading up the War of the Roses. During this turbulent time the English political system was torn apart by quarrels and petty jealousies between noblemen vying for the throne of England.

Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new members are always welcome.
