Two-week Detour for US-2 Cut River Bridge Starts June 3

PROJECT:

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be performing preventive maintenance work on the deck of the US-2 Cut River Bridge to extend the bridge’s service life.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:

US-2 traffic will be detoured onto Cut River Road and Prater Boulevard, the same detour route used when the Cut River Bridge deck was replaced in 2009. No oversize permits will be issued for the detour route. Commercial vehicle drivers are encouraged to use I-75, M-123, M-28, and M-117 as an alternate route around the construction zone. Pedestrians and bicyclists must use the detour or alternate route.
