Harvey – A Chocolay Township Planning Meeting on the Farm Incubator Project will be held on Tuesday, May 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey.
A farm incubator is a training ground for aspiring farmers. The incubator provides affordable access to land, training, and infrastructure while participants refine their skills.
Needed for the project is input from prospective farmers, people with agriculture/gardening/permaculture skills, educators, mentors, program managers, organizers, and volunteers. Work includes creating a site plan and operating plan with management, production, marketing, and distribution options.
