Marquette – Lisa McCarthy and Sarah Swanson, two Northern Michigan University students who recently traveled to Nicaragua to study the fair trade coffee industry, will present a forum on free trade coffee on Sunday, February 15 at 10 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette.
Their goal is to educate local residents about the poverty and injustice in the coffee trade, and encourage them to buy fair trade coffee.
