Marquette – The Marquette Area Farmer’s Guild will have a spring fundraiser “Farmer’s Potluck” on Sunday, March 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Ore Dock Brewing Company’s community space. The potluck meal will be provided and served by the farmers at 2 p.m.
The event is an effort to raise money to help local farms cover costs to become Certified Naturally Grown, to purchase non-GMO seeds for the upcoming growing season, and to continue efforts to improve the local food system.
Those attending will have the opportunity to meet local farmers and experience a diverse selection of local foods that are available even in March.
A limited number of advance tickets are available at Ore Dock Brewing Company at $25 for adults, $15 for ages 7 to 14, and free for age 6 and younger. The ticket will include a presentation by Mark Baker and live music provided by Mike Waite and Green Gene.
