Marquette – In celebration of March as Womens History Month, the film “The Iron Lady” will be shown on Thursday, March 14 at 6:00 pm in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The film depicts elderly Margaret Thatcher, who talks to the imagined presence of her recently deceased husband as she struggles to come to terms with his death while scenes from her past life, from girlhood to British prime minister, intervene.
The Iron Lady was released in 2011, is rated PG-13 and runs for 105 minutes. Viewers are welcome to bring a take-out supper and enjoy this film series featuring Best Leading Actress Oscar winners portraying real women.
