‘Avenue Q’ Run Extended at NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University will present two additional performances of Avenue Q: The Musical, based on popular demand. Show times are 7:30 p.m. and midnight Friday, Feb. 1, and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the James A Panowski Black Box Theatre. Tickets are $5 for general admission. They can be purchased in advance at all NMU EZ Ticket outlets or, if any remain, at the door.

The Tony Award-winning musical is for mature audiences only and billed as “part flesh, part felt and packed with heart.” It follows recent college grad Princeton as he moves to a run-down New York City apartment way out on Avenue Q. Not sure what to do with his “useless” bachelor’s degree in English, Princeton meets some colorful types who help him finally discover his purpose in life.
