Ishpeming – Schools in the Ishpeming School District will begin the school year with a half day of classes on Tuesday, September 2.
Ishpeming High School students are to report at noon in the new gymnasium for class schedules, then attend classes for the remainder of the day.
Fifth through eighth grade students at C.L. Phelps Intermediate School will report at noon in the gymnasium for instructions, then attend classes for the rest of the day.
Classes for Birchview School first through fourth graders will begin at 12:30 p.m. and be dismissed at 3:40 p.m. Students should report directly to their new classroom. Parents who have not received their child's assignment should call 485-6341.
Parents of preschool, junior kindergarten and kindergarten students will receive a letter providing information on orientation, first day schedules and bus transportation.
