Negaunee – The Heikki Lunta Winterfest activities for Saturday, January 19 will include the following:
A fishing derby will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Teal Lake with cash prizes and a raffle participants. Pre-register at Holiday and Buck’s in Negaunee or at Holiday and Wilderness Sports in Ishpeming. The fee for advanced registration is $1 for those 12 and younger and $5 for adults. Registration on Saturday will be at Paisano’s.
A Heikki Lunta Dance will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center. Music will be provided by the Hart Beats. Admission is $5 at the door.
There will be bonfires on the shore of Teal Lake beginning at 5 p.m. and fireworks will be at 7 p.m. over Teal Lake.
