Readers Theater Features “This Awful Place” on January 17th

Join Readers Theater for a reading of “This Awful Place” on Thursday, January 17 at 7:00pm in the Peter White Public Library Shiras Room.

A new work in progress written by local playwright, Paul Olson, “This Awful Place: A Play About Marquette” is a rollicking farce about a bygone era (1992). Three generations of college professors – Dr. Albert Hewitt, his daughter, and granddaughter find their educational dynasty at Northern Michigan University threatened by the advent of a mysterious force that promises to change the world forever.  A force referred to in whispers as…”The Internet.”

Peter White Public Library’s Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment.  New readers are always welcome.
