The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Dinner and a Movie at Peter White Public Library in Marquette, Michigan

Marquette, Michigan – Enjoy a meal and a movie with other film buffs at the Peter White Public Library on Tuesday, January 8. The buffet style dinner is provided by local favorite, Coco’s, and begins at 5:30 pm. The film presentation for the evening is “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.

Advance purchase tickets of $15.00 per person to cover the cost of the meal are required to attend this special event. Tickets may be purchased at the library circulation desk or by calling 228-9510 on or before January 7. Tickets will not be available at the door.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel follows a group of British retirees who decide to “outsource” their retirement to a less expensive and seemingly exotic India. Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel and bolstered with visions of a life of leisure, they arrive to find the palace a shell of its former self. Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.

The 2012 film also stars Bill Nighy and Dev Patel, is rated PG-13 and runs for 124 minutes. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
