Marquette – “Where Superior Meets the Blues” Blues Fest will be held Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31 from 12:15 to 9 p.m. each day at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette.
Music will be provided by On the Spot Blues Band, Erin Jaimes, Eric Tessmer, Mississippi Heat, Nora Jean Bruso, Tab Benoit, Red, White and Blues Band, Delta Jets, Flat Broke Blues Band with the Million Dollar Horns, Johnny Bassett, Motor City Josh and Watermelon Slim and the Workers.
Dance workshops and guitar workshops will be held and food will be available.
Tickets are available in Marquette at NMU E-Z Tickets in the Superior Dome, Jim's Music, Marquette Wallpaper and Paint, MacDonald's Music Store and Lake Superior Community Partnership. Tickets are also available at The Record Rack in Escanaba, The Music Tree in Iron Mountain, and Good Times Music in Houghton
Weekend passes are $40 until Friday, August 29. Daily passes are $25 on site only. Children 14 and under admitted free.
Student discount tickets are available at the NMU Superior Dome, with a limit of two tickets. Large groups should call 249-4382 for group purchases.
