LANDFALL: AT LEAST 10 DEAD AS SANDY PUMMELS EAST COAST

SUPERSTORM SANDY MAKES LANDFALL, packing 80 mph winds and hurling a record-breaking 13-foot surge of water at NYC. The storm has killed at least 10 people, knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers and an estimated 5.2 million people altogether across the East and flooded streets.
