Marquette – Great Lakes maritime musician Lee Murdock will display his blend of ragtime, Irish, blues and folk style of storytelling at two free concerts on Thursday, July 31 in Marquette.
Murdock will present the interactive youth concert “Great Lakes Sea Shanties and Stories” at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.This lively, interactive performance will appeal to all “bookaneers” as they enjoy the traditional seafaring songs of the Great Lakes mariners.
Murdock will perform an outdoor concert of Great Lakes maritime music for all ages at 7 p.m. at the Marquette Yacht Club, next to Mattson Lower Harbor Park.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets. If it rains, the concert will be held at the library.
