Marquette – The DeVos Art Museum will present the exhibt “You Complete Me: Mediating Relationships in Contemporary Art” from Monday, October 1 through Sunday, November 11 at the museum on the campus of Northern Michigan University.
Atlanta-based photographer Jill Frank, whose work is part of “You Complete Me,” will speak on Friday, October 5 at 2 p.m. at the museum.
“You Complete Me” features works that can be completed only with the involvement of others. This causes the artists and artwork to become mediators, asking the viewer to negotiate their perspective by becoming part of the work.
DeVos Art Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday; noon to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 1 to 4 p.m. weekends. For more information, call 227-2235 or visit www.nmu.edu/DeVos.
