Calendar – Education – Battery D Civil War Encampment – July 27-29

Copper Harbor – History comes alive with the three day Battery D Civil War Encampment, Friday, July 27 through Sunday, July 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day at Fort Wilkins Historic State Park in Copper Harbor.

Battery D, 1st Michigan Light Artillery, a Civil War era living history group, will interpret army life of the period, demonstrating artillery and small arms drills, period cooking and soldiers’ pastimes.

A Michigan State or Out of State Recreation Passport is required for entry into the park.
