Lincoln and the Civil War Presentation Feb. 8

Marquette – “Lincoln and the Civil War” will be presented on Sunday, February 8 at 2 p.m. at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

Commemorating both Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, this lively theatrical production explores a crucial and fascinating era in American History.

Emmy Award winning internationally renown storyteller, Bobby Norfolk, portrays a freed slave named Jacob using first person narratives, poetry, and song to highlight the key players, events, and political forces that brought ordinary men and women into extraordinary circumstances.

Lincoln is a central figure in this dramatic portrayal of our nation's struggle to find a unified identity.

The presentation is appropriate for grade 3 and up.
