Marquette – The City of Marquette presents “A Vision of Marquette; Community Photo Contest”. Photographers are invited to submit photos and selected photos will be enlarged and exhibited at City Hall during August 2012, and exhibited at Peter White Public Library (PWPL) during September, and at a community planning event on November 8. A public reception will be held on Thursday, September 27h at the Peter White Public Library. The same selected images will be used in the updated Community Master Plan, which will be published in 2013.
Photo submissions are open to any subject matter, but the photo submitted must have been taken within the Marquette City limits and capture a positive image that expresses the photographer’s idea of something essential to the experience of being in Marquette. Submissions will be until July 10.
