Marquette – The City of Marquette invites area youth ages five to eighteen to work with a professional artist to paint the Marquette Matters Mural Project pn Wednesday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Friday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center on the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.
The project, funded by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, will be installed at the Marquette Commons for the Farmers Market season and features Marquette’s high level of quality of life. Painting sessions are open-house format; participants may attend one day or all three for as long as they can.
