Ishpeming – Guided tours of the Cleveland-Cliffs mining and processing plant operations will begin Wednesday, June 25 and run through late August. One approximately three-hour tour per day will be offered Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Those taking the tour from Marquette can board the tour bus at noon at the Lake Superior Community Partnership office, 501 S. Front Street in Marquette.
Persons in western Marquette County can catch the bus at the Cliffs Shaft Museum in Ishpeming.
> The tours begin at 12:30 p.m. with a video presentation and orientation at the Cliffs Shaft Museum prior to the bus ride to the mine. Visitors will view the mining operations and the concentrator/pelletizing plant. Space is limited and advance reservations requested.
