Marquette – The Marquette Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its spring concert Monday, January 16 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Choral Room 250 in the Thomas Fine Arts Building at Northern Michigan University.
The Choral Society will rehearse every Monday and singers may join at any time during the first three rehearsals.
The spring concert celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Choral Society and is titled “Five Hundred Years of Sacred Choral Music.” Concerts will be offered on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 in Reynolds Recital Hall.
The group is under the direction of Dr. Floyd Slotterback. There is a modest charge for music and membership. No auditions are required. For more information, call 227-2563 or go to www.nmu.edu/mqtchoral.
