Calendar – Music – Bluesday Tuesday Series – Dec. 27

Marquette – The Bluesday Tuesday series will feature the film “Cadillac Records” on Tuesday, December 27 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

“Cadillac Records” is a period piece chronicling the rise and fall of influential rhythm and blues record label Chess Records, which launched the careers of Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry. In this exciting and turbulent tale, company founder Leonard Chess scours the south, checking out the various blues scenes and selling records from the back of his Cadillac.

The film, released in 2008, is rated R and runs for 109 minutes. The film was a Golden Globe and Grammy award nominee. For more information, call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
