Munising – The Alger County Animal Shelter is sponsoring a Cutest Critter Contest, with entries being accepted through Friday, November 25 at the Shelter, 510 E. Munising Avenue in Munising. Entries will also be accepted by mail.
To enter, submit a 4×6-inch or smaller photo of the pet only, along with a $2 entry fee for each photo. Write pet’s name, owner’s name and phone number on the back of each photo. To have photos returned, mark them “Hold for pickup” or include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
The contest and a bake sale will be held on Thursday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the People’s State Bank in Munising. The photo receiving the most monetary donations while displayed at the bank will be the winner.
First prize is a $50 certificate toward the adoption of a cat or dog at the Alger County Animal Shelter. Second through sixth place prizes will also be awarded.
