Marquette – The Marquette General Women’s and Children’s Center, in conjunction with Kohl’s and Marquette Mountain, will host a Kohl’s Cares® “Heads UP on Safety” Event Saturday, November 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Marquette Mountain Ski Lodge.
The event will feature hands-on learning and valuable information for families on ski and snowboard safety. The first 100 children, ages 13 and under, will receive a certificate for a free ski/snowboard helmet.
Personnel from the National Ski Patrol will present a ski/snowboard safety program and will be available to answer questions. Participants will be given goodie bags and will also have the chance to win a family groomer ride and the opportunity to learn about the affordable Mining Journal and Wendy’s youth ski schools at Marquette Mountain this ski season.
