Marquette – “The French-Canadian Song: Monique Jutras and Jean-Pierre Joyal” will be presented on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Jamrich Hall Room 102 at Northern Michigan University.
The concert of French traditional folksongs from Québec will include working, rowing, maritime and childrens’ songs, medieval ballads, call-and-response party songs and typical Québécois mouth music that highlight French-Canadian history and culture in a unique way.
This program is part of the Upper Peninsula Folklife Festival. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students.
