Harvey – Teaching Family Homes will sponsor a Silver Creek Trail Run for Parents on Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. on the Teaching Family Home Campus in Harvey.
The event will feature a 1K run/fitness walk along the TFH Fitness Trail, plus more challenging 5K and 10K runs along the Silver Creek Trail course. Also featured will be a parenting fair from 10 a.m. to noon, with a number of local nonprofits on hand offering important information on a variety of parenting issues for all ages.
Cost is $25 for adults and $20 for students, which includes a T-shirt. Cost for the 1K youth fitness walk is $5. Daycare services and refreshments will be provided. Proceeds will be used to expand and improve on the Teaching Family Home parenting programs.
