Marquette – The Peter White Public Library will screen two of the inaugural inductees to the John Jay Film Library at the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum in the library’s Community Room.
“Der Weisse Rausch” or “White Ecstasy” shot by Dr. Arnold Fanck in 1931 in Austria will be screened on Tuesday, September 20 at 7 p.m. This film run time is 80 minutes.
“The Blizzard of AAHHH’s” by Greg Stump featuring Glen Plake, one of the most recognizable skiers today, will be shown on Thursday, September 22 at 7 p.m. Running length of this 1988 film is 78 minutes.
There is no admission charge to attend the film screenings but donations will be accepted to benefit the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ishpeming.
