Marquette – Alina Fernandez, daughter of Fidel Castro will be at Northern Michigan University on Tuesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.
As one of Fidel Castro's children, Alina shares her private and intensely personal point of view on growing up in Cuba. She will guide you through her experiences of the Cuban political environment during the years following her father's overthrowing of the Batista government during the 1959 Cuban Revolution.
The event, sponsored by the NMU Platform Personalities and the Student Activity Fee, is free to NMU students and $2 for the general public.
