Negaunee – The Negaunee City Band will perform a concert on Wednesday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street in Negaunee.
Brandon Nelson, French horn soloist, will perform “Sugar and Spice,” while Nancy LaChapelle, a music education major at Illinois State University, will direct selections from “The Lion King.”
Other numbers will include “Folk Song Suite,” “Highlights from ‘Porgy and Bess'” and “Lilt of the Latin.” “The Penny-Whistle Song” will feature the flute section. This week’s marches are “Coat of Arms,” “Men of Ohio,” “Pan American,” and Sousa’s “The Thunderer.” As always, the concert will conclude with “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”
