Gwinn – The North Country Trail Hikers Chapter of the North Country Trail Association will host a Summer Social Outing with a cook-out on Sunday, July 10 from noon to 6 p.m. at Peter Nordeen Park in Gwinn.
Bring your own picnic lunch, or meat or other food to grill, favorite beverage, and if you wish, a dish to share. Bring a folding chair if you prefer that to picnic table benches. Charcoal and tools for grilling, drinking water, paper cups, and picnic plates/napkins/eating utensils will be provided.
Note that alcoholic beverages are permitted as long as all Michigan laws are observed. Smoking is not permitted. Dogs are permitted on leash.
Following the meal, there will be opportunities for canoeing/kayaking on nearby lakes or on the Escanaba River and hikes at Anderson Lake ski trails or other local paths.
All are welcome.
