Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will conduct a “Walking Tour of Our New Neighborhood” on Wednesday, July 6 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Center, 145 W. Spring Street, Marquette.
This walking tour of downtown Marquette, hosted by Jim Koski, includes the Marquette County Courthouse, St. Peter Cathedral and many other landmarks, both past and present. Jim will talk about a few of the
highlights of the earliest years of the city of Marquette, plus cover the Baraga Avenue corridor, Marquette’s first “Main Street.” As with many of Jim’s walking tours, there will be a special surprise ending.
A $5 suggested donation to support future programming is asked for the tour. For more information, call 226-3571 or go to marquettehistory.org
