Marquette – A children’s bike rodeo will be held on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Marquette Commons.
Bike safety presentations will be given, children will have a helmet fit check and receive a free helmet provided by the Kohl’s Cares program. Area bike shops will provide free bike safety and fit checks, and the City of Marquette will offer free bike licensing. Michigan State Police will set up a bike obstacle course for children to learn safe biking rules. Refreshments will be served.
A family-friendly bike ride will begin at 10 a.m., with registration starting at 9 a.m. The well-marked, 10-mile relaxed ride along Marquette’s paved bicycle paths will begin and end at the commons.
