Marquette – To celebrate the upcoming opera “Rockland” and its entire 2011 season, the Pine Mountain Music Festival will host a benefit reception and concert on Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Atrium of the Peninsula Medical Center, 1414 W. Fair Avenue in Marquette.
Tickets for “An Evening of Finnish Musicians” are $50 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center. In addition to the entertainment, there will be hors d’oeuvres, sweets, wine and other beverages provided.
Some of Marquette County’s finest musicians of Finnish heritage playing music in many different styles and traditions.
